| | With the l992 closure of George Air Force Base, Victorville turned a perceived liability into a tremendous asset, transforming the former base into Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA). Zeroing in on the growing aviation and logistics industries, plus Victorville’s prime location and lower land costs, the City prepared for a large influx of commerce at SCLA, and additional commerce and new housing developments throughout the city, including the 233-acre Foxborough Industrial Park. | |
