Powerplant Certification Program
The Powerplant Certification program at Southern California Logistics Airport (SCLA) is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the Aircraft Maintenance Industry. The aviation school is approved by the Federal Aviation Adiminstration (FAA School #2S1T589K) and allows students to learn and train on-site at an active airport in Victorville, CA. Graduates will meet FAA requirements for the issuance of a Powerplant Certificate. Upon certification, Powerplant Technicians are qualified to perform service or make repairs on all types and sizes of private and commercial aircraft.

| | Job Stability
Powerplant Technicians have an incredibly important job: They ensure the public's safety by making sure that every airplane engine, around the world, is 100% safe to fly. The powerplant (the engine) is the heart of an airplane and requires regular maintenance. Job stability and diversity of employment can be found in the military, large airports, or small private airfields.

Your Powerplant Certificate is valid around the world, so if you would like to work in China, France, Australia, or any other country, your certification can take you there.

1,250 Total Hours
- 450 Hrs. General Aviation
- 800 Hrs. Powerplant
Instruction
Morning Class: 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Evening Class: 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Monday - Friday | |

The SCLA School of Aviation is an enterprise of the Victor Valley Aviation Education Consortium (VVAEC), a California Non-profit Public Charity Educational Organization. The purpose of the VVAEC is to support the existence and development of an academic program to provide aviation and logistical training to residents of the Victor Valley Community. The SCLA School of Aviation and VVAEC are not municipal entities of the City of Victorville.
