Keith Metzler

Assistant City Manager

Mr. Keith Metzler is the Assistant City Manger for the City of Victorville and is responsible for directing activities of the Victorville Redevelopment Agency, the Southern California Logistics Airport, the City of Victorville's business development activities, and it's CDBG/HOME programs. Mr. Metzler has been responsible for managing budgets in excess of $100 million.

In addition, Mr. Metzler also serves as President and CEO of Regional Center Victorville Development, Inc. (RCVD, Inc.), a non-profit public benefit corporation, the Executive Director for the Victor Valley Economic Development Authority (VVEDA), and serves on the Board of Directors for the Victor Valley Aviation Education Consortium. 

Since 1996, Mr. Metzler has developed approximately 3-million square feet of manufacturing and industrial space occupied by tenants including ConAgra Foods, Nutro Products, The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and M&M/Mars. Mr. Metzler was responsible for developing the Auto Park at Valley Center, the City's auto mall comprising 12-auto franchises. Most recently, Mr. Metzler negotiated the construction of the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group’s (DPSG) 850,000 square foot manufacturing and warehouse facility, yielding 220 new jobs and $120 million in direct private investment. Mr. Metzler also has an extensive background in municipal bond financing.  In September of 2011, Mr. Metzler was promoted to Assistant City Manager by the Victorville City Council.

Mr. Metzler earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside and a Masters degree in Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino. Victorville has been home to Mr. Metzler, having lived in Victorville since 1984 and attending local elementary, middle and high school.
