Sophie Escobar
Assistant Director of Economic Development and Southern California Logistics Airport
Ms. Sophie Escobar has worked for the City of Victorville for eleven years in various capacities. As the Assistant Director of Redevelopment, she oversees the daily administration of the Economic Development Department, which includes the Victorville Redevelopment Agency and the Southern California Logistics Airport.
Sophie also serves as Treasurer of the Auto Park at Valley Center Association, Treasurer of the Victor Valley Aviation Education Consortium, Chief Financial Officer of the Regional Center of Victorville Development, Inc., and is a board member for PERMA, the Public Entity Risk Management Authority.
Sophie is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor's degree in Law and Society, and received her MBA from Cal State San Bernardino in 2008. Sophie resides in Victorville, CA.
