Lending

The City of Victorville's Economic Development Department Housing Division relies on a strong partnership with reputable lenders to provide high quality, affordable housing for Victorville residents. If you are a participating lender and need additional information, please contact (760) 955-5032.

Mortgage Assistance Program
The Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) is a homebuyer program designed to assist in the costs of purchasing a home. The MAP is a deferred silent second loan that is repaid with a shared equity at the time of sale, refinance, when the homeowner ceases to occupy the home as their primary residence, or at the end of the loan term (30 years). The City can assist with the amount of down payment and/or closing costs to purchase your home in the City of Victorville.

MAP for Lenders
The Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP) underwent some significant changes in March of 2008. Due to the changes, lenders must attend a mandatory training class to become a Participating Lender. Our goal and mission is to assist as many homebuyers as possible by providing only what is needed to fund the purchase of their home. For a copy of the updated guidelines, please download the MAP manual. All the forms needed for use of the MAP are available below. The PDF versions have form fill areas for those that are required to be typed. We have included a checklist below to ensure complete packages at submission.
If you are interested in becoming a Participating Lender and attend training, please contact the Economic Development Department at (760) 955-5032.
